초록『불안의 개념』은 키에르케고어의 저작들 중 핵심적인 중요성을 지니고 있으면서도, 안이한 접근을 완강히 거부하는 까닭에 가장 난해한 저작으로 손꼽힌다. 이 책의 난해성은 무엇보다도 키에르케고어가 창세기의 타죄설화에 의거하여 분석하고 있는 것이 정확히 어떤 종류의 사태인지가 매우 불분명하다는 데서 비롯된다. 기존의 연구들에서는 어둠에 방치되어 있던 이 점을 밝혀내기 위해, 필자는 『대승기신론』이 제공하는 시차(視差)를 활용한다. 이를 통하여 본 연구가 발견한 것은 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 『불안의 개념』에서 키에르케고어가 해석하는 대로의 창세기 타죄설화는, 『대승기신론』의 삼세⋅육추설과 꼭 마찬가지로, 마음의 주객분열 사건에 관한 것이다. 이 공통점에 주목하면, 둘째, 키에르케고어의 불안론과 원효의 훈습론 사이에 생산적인 조응관계가 존재함을 세부적으로 확인할 수 있다. 이로써 드러나는 바, 셋째, 불안의 서양철학에서 원효의 대화상대로서 더 풍요로운 생산성을 지닌 사상가는 하이데거라기보다는 키에르케고어로 보인다.The Concept of Anxiety is a capital one among Kierkegaard’s works, but it obstinately refuses any facile access and, thus, is esteemed as the most difficult book in his oeuvre. Its difficulty is due to, above all, that it remains obscure which is an issue when Kierkegaard analyzes anxiety on the basis of the Fall narrative in Genesis. In order to resolve this crucial problem which has been neglected by other precedent researchers, I made use of the parallax offered by The Awakening of the Faith in the Mahȃyȃna. This resulted in three major discoveries. First, the Fall narrative in Genesis, as it is interpreted by Kierkegaard in The Concept of Anxiety, as well as the theory on three subtle aspects of Nonenlightenment deployed in The Awakening of the Faith in the Mahȃyȃna, is about the subject-object split of the mind. Second, this leads us to find in detail productive correspondences between Kierkegaard’s theory on anxiety and Woh-Hyo’s theory on permeation. Finally, this shows that, at least in reference to anxiety, the more productive interlocutor with Won-Hyo seems to be Kierkegaard rather than Heidegger. |
